You'll note there are two airbrakes per wing on the upper surface and one
underneath. Originally designed for four (two upper and two lower) they
subsequently deleted one of the lower units.

I admit they are rather strange looking, basically "planks on legs" but they
apparently work well. Perhaps this specific design was found to work best
with the high lift forces typically generated with delta wings?
